Attorney Smith was born and raised in Florida. He grew up in Winter Haven, which is immediately between Orlando and Tampa. He grew up playing baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and golf. However, he excelled in tennis and golf. He graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1991. In 1994, Attorney Smith moved to Barcelona, Spain to engage in collegiate and cultural studies. He returned to the United States in the fall of 1995.
In 1997, Attorney Smith graduated from the Florida State University with a B.A. in Foreign Language (Spanish). In 1999, he graduated from the Florida State University with a M.S. in Physical Education (Sports Administration). After completing the Master’s program, he began Ph.D. studies in Sports Administration. However, before the Doctoral program could be completed, Attorney Smith left the Florida State University to attend Law School at the Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Attorney Smith enrolled in Law School in the fall of 2001, and graduated in the spring of 2004 with a concentration in Litigation. After graduation, he was hired by a Sports Agency in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked for approximately one (1) year.
In 2005, Attorney Smith obtained two (2) licenses to practice law in both Ohio and Pennsylvania, and opened the Smith Law Office in Youngstown, Ohio in 2006. With the unique attribute of having a license to practice law in both Ohio and Pennsylvania, the Smith Law Office specializes in State and Federal Criminal Defense in both states. That specialization also continues with DUI/DWI/OVI and Traffic Defense in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
